Zē Wines began in 2021 when Owner/Winemaker Zane Morris made his first small-lot of Pinot Noir Piquette while working harvest in the Willamette Valley. After catching the winemaking bug, Zane began to plot and scheme for a full production plan for 2022’s harvest. The ethos of Zē Wines is to craft quality wines that are approachable for anyone to enjoy. With this as the goal, Zane decided the best way to design the first vintage of Zē Wines was to make wines he would want to share with his friends at their frequent pizza parties and game nights. The name of the brand stems from the gender-neutral pronoun “Zē”, encapsulating the message that these wines are for everyone, as well as a play on Zane’s first initial.
